If you know how to knit and purl, but haven't been brave enough to tackle a sweater on your own, this class is designed for you. Whether you're intimidated by knitting a sweater that fits or the overall construction process, you'll gain the confidence and skills to complete your first sweater successfully. In this hands-on class, we'll demystify sweater construction by exploring how to achieve a proper fit, understand garment shaping, and work through the logic of top-down knitting. You'll learn practical techniques for measuring, and troubleshooting common sweater-knitting challenges. By the end of the series, you'll have the foundation to knit sweaters independently and understand how to adapt patterns for future projects. We're using the Flax Worsted pattern—a classic, beginner-friendly design that teaches essential sweater skills without overwhelming complexity. The three-session format gives you time to work through each stage at a comfortable pace, with instructor feedback and peer support throughout.
